The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing the direction of the banquet department’s daily activities to ensure guest satisfaction, profitability and a positive, productive, and compliant work environment.
Responsible for food prep, cooking, and cleaning kitchen and dishes. Clean, cut, or peel foods to prepare them for cooking and arranging on serving dishes.
Banquet Servers are responsible to respond to all food and beverage needs of our guests. Servers will work with buffets, served meals, receptions, weddings, and other types of events.
Facility Security staff under direction from the Security Lead is responsible for shipping and receiving items within the Utah Valley Convention Center along with the prevention, detection and reporting of safety concerns on UVCC property; assists staff, clients and visitors to the facility.
Under direct supervision from the Operations Manager and/or Operations Supervisor, Facility Operations Technicians perform event set-up and tear down, custodial, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks as assigned. In the absence of the Operations Manager or Supervisor, the Facility Operations Technicians may receive instruction from the Director of Operation, General Manager, or the Manager on duty.
This intern will have the opportunity to work closely with our various departments, Sales & Marketing, Event Management, Operations, Building Services, AV, Engineering, Security, Finance and Food & Beverage to receive a comprehensive overview of the convention centers daily operations. You will be asked to spend 20-25 (depending on events) hours a week here and your schedule should be flexible.
Under general supervision, the AV Technician assists in performing responsible technical work within the Audiovisual department; Sets up, operates, and strikes audiovisual equipment for events and performances in the convention center.
